NUBRA VALLEY JEEP SAFARI TOUR ITINERARY
Day 01:
Drive Leh to Diskit
Upon arrival at Leh a jeep will pick up and drive to Diskit
via Khardung La. Enjoy the picturesque view of Sumoor and
Samstaling during a drive from Khardong La pass. Reach the
campsite at Diskit on narrow steep road. Deskit has
monasteries with tallest lord Buddha statue. Explore the
local market at Deskit. Enjoy dinner and Overnight stay in
camp.
Day 02: Diskit to Sumur
Wake up early morning to attend the Morning Prayer ceremony
at Diskit monastery. After attending prayer get back to camp
for breakfast and then proceed to Hundar, known for its sand
dunes and bacterian camel safari. At Hunder visit a small
monastery and enjoy a camel safari on a double- humped
bacterian camel on the sand dunes. Cross the bridge over the
Shayok River, drive upstream to reach Sumur. On arrival to
Sumur, visit Samstangling Gompa. It follows some strict
rules and regulations like no entry for women in the gompa
after sunset and before sunrise, no smoking etc. Then drive
for minutes to Tegar village and visit a small monastery
here and enjoy a picturesque view of stunning forest and
lake. Return back to camp in Sumur for dinner and overnight
stay.
Day 03: Sumer to Leh via
Khardung La
In the morning after breakfast , drive back to the Ladakh
via Khardung La and Khalsar for onward journey.
Tour ends... but sweet memories always remain.
