LADAKH OUTLINE TREK IN LADAKH TOUR ITINERARY

Day 01: Leh to Stok to Mankyurmo
On your arrival at Leh, receive by our representative and transfer to Stok. Trekking tour begins from the Stok to Mankyurmo. Trail through the village visit Stok Nala. Enroute pass through enclosed gardens, apricot orchards and Barley fields. With 3 hours of continue walk pass via Staklang Khar Fort, the oldest fort lies on the gorge’s upper part. At its base, a thick grove of willow is a perfect place for lunch. After lunch trek uphill to Ton Ton, ritual cairn of rocks and then descend to the stony bed of the river to summer camp at Mankyurmo. Dinner and Overnight stay in camp.

Day 02: Mankyurmo to Gyangpoche
After breakfast, depart from Mankyurmo and trek to Gyangpoche, a lush grassy meadow inhabited by many shepherds during summer. In midsummer small flowers and flower bushes blossom even in the driest parts of this place. Climb up to Matho La. From the initial descent to plain of Matho valley, which is full of life as here one can get a chance to see white-tailed hares, Bearded vulture, Golden eagle, Himalayan marmots, wolf or snow leopard. On the way cross a few number of streams to reach Gyangpoche. Camps are set at summer camp near Gyangpoche. Dinner and Overnight stay in camp.

Day 03: Gyangpoche to Base of Shang La
In the morning have a refreshing breakfast, a long day of trekking starts from Gyangpoche with a gradual ascent to the edge of pastures. On the way see flowing Shang river , deep valleys and large number of streams in snowfield of Stok Matho range. From here walk downhill to the valley and in about 2 hours reach to the stream. Camping on the bank of a stream at base of Shang la. Dinner and Overnight stay in camp.

Day 04: Base of Shangla Base to Shang Phu
In morning after breakfast at the camp. Now cross the stream and climb to hill for about 2 hours in the dry terrain with a scanty of vegetation, rock and sand leads to Shang La, connects the Shang valley to Matho valley. Enjoy the scenic view of Matho La Kangri peaks, summit of Parcha Kangri, Zanskar and Stok. Trekking downhill will leads to small streams and cross thick scrub vegetation to reach the valley. Camps are set at here. Dinner and Overnight stay in camp at Shang Phu.
