JEEP SAFARI TSO MORIRI LAKE LADAKH TOUR ITINERARY
Day 01:
Drive Leh to Tsomo-riri
Upon arrival at Leh a jeep will pick up and drive to Tso
Moriri via Shey, Thiksey and Upsi. Visit palace at Shey, the
summer resort of the kings of Ladakh and a twelve storied
monastery at Thiksey. Then pass through the villages of
Chumathang and Likche, Gaik, Himya, Skidmang and Kiara.
Visit the hot spring resort at Chumathang, its water is used
by people of Ladakh for heaing. From Chumathang after it
there is a rough dusty road. Then come lake Thazang from
here there is half an hour distance to Tso Morari. At Tso
Morari stay in camp that’s located on the bank of the lake.
Dinner and Overnight stay in camp.
Day 02: Tsomo-riri
Have breakfast in camp, explore the Tsomo-riri Lake, most
beautiful, serene and holy high altitude lake in India. Also
watch the rare species of flora and fauna around Tsomororiri
Lake. Then drive to the Rupsu district and visit Chomo-riri
lake, move ahead the lake to visit Korzok monastery and
Nomad camp above the Korzok village. In the evening return
back to camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 03: Tsomo-riri to Leh
In morning after breakfast, from Tsomo-riri pick up by a
jeep and drive back to Leh.
Tour ends... but sweet memories always remain.
