Jammu the north most state of India is one of the administrative division inside Jammu & Kashmir. Jammu region is not a state but is a part of J&K state. Most of the part of Jammu is steep or hilly and is separate from Kashmir Valley through Pir Panjal range. At here the main river that’s flow is Chenab. Authoritatively Jammu is known as Jammu-Tawi and is significantly called as City of Shrines.
The prime attraction place to visit at here is Mata Vaishno Devi shrine that’s located on Trikuta Hill that’s near to Katra town in Jammu. At this region you can see Hindus, Muslims and Sikhism cultural heritage sites. Jammu has better infrastructure and is emerge as the major economic centre of the J&K state.

Sanasar
Sansar one of the stunning wonderful hill stations of Jammu. This hill station is named on a local lake Sana and Sar. Beautifully surrounded by massive conifer trees Sanasar has a gorgeous view. Nowadays this place has a lot of tourist attention and is a perfect spot for adventurous sports.
Bhaderwah
Bhaderwah popularly known as ‘Mini Kashmir’ for its breathtaking views of woodlands and glinting streams from the different parts through the town. Also have lots of stunning historical and sacred buildings or shrines to visit.
Vaishno Devi
Mata Vaishno Devi situated on Trikuta hill that’s on foot distance from Katra in Jammu. Vaishno Devi shine is the holiest Hindu shrine in India that’s devoted to goddess Mata Vaishno Devi incarnation of Shakti. Mata Vaishno Devi is also known as Mata Rani or Vaishnavi.
Nandini Wildlife Sanctuary
Nandini a popular Wildlife Sanctuary in Jammu is an adobe of various species of pheasants. About 28 km of 31sq. km. area of its persevered for wildlife and dense forest. Red junglefowl, Indian mynah, blue rock pigeon, cheer pheasant, chakor and Indian peafowl are some of various pheasant’s species that’s you can found here and besides these you can also watch some rare species like grey langur, wild boar, Leopard, bharal and Rhesus monkey at Nandin Wildlife sanctuary.
Peer Khoh, Jammu
About 3.5 km far from Jaamu Peer Khoh is a shrine in a cave. This cave in mainly known for Shivalingam. The Shiva lingam at here was made naturally. According to myths related to this cave is that underground to this cave its leads to many other cave shrines to inside or outside the country.
Ranbireshwar Temple, Jammu
Ranbireshwar Shrine was built in about 1883 by Maharaja Rajbir Singh.Shrine is dedicated to Lord Shiva. In this shrine there is a 7.5 feet high lingam that's surrounded by twelve crystal shivalingams. |

Raghunath Temple
Raghunath Temple situated on the centre of the Jammu town is devoted to Lord Rama. Raghunath shrine has nested a group of temple in it. This shrine was built by Maharaja Gulab Singh in about 1853 and was complete by his son in 1860. |

Bahu Fort
Bahu Fort about 3000 years old fort is the oldest structure in Jammu. About 5 km far from city centre Bahu fort is situated at left bank of the Tawi River. Â |
Amar Mahal Palace Museum
Amar Mahal the family residence of Dogra Empire is now a museum. It was built of red sand stone around 1890 by Emperor Raja Amar. This palace is beautifully designed by French architect, looks like European castles in structure having tall tower and turrets. This palace has a great collection of artefacts, paintings, inscription and books. The prime attraction thing at here is the throne of king that was made of 120 kg gold. The museum has houses twenty five thousand books collection. |

Climate of Jammu
The temperature of Jammu is pleasant in summer and has a 23.4°C to 43°C temperature. In winter the temperature of Jammu is goes too low to around 4.3°C and has heavy snow at this time.

By Air:
Amritsar, Chandigarh, Delhi and Srinagar are cities from where you can catch flights to Jammu. Jammu airport is about 8km far from the city centre.
By Train:
Railway station of Jammu is in Tawi that’s about 5km far from city centre. The express train that’s connecting to it are from Chennai, Calcutta, Mumbai, Delhi and Amritsar. Jammu Mail, Madras Express, Sealdah Express, Jammu Express, Rajdhani Express, Shalimar Express and Jhelum Express are the trains on which you can travel to reach Jammu.
By Road:
The smooth and motorable roads of National Highways from all the major parts of country are connected with Jammu by road.
